FLINT, MI - The Flint Women's Forum is inviting the public to its annual forum celebrating women. This year's event is being held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25 at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, 2300 Lapeer Road in Flint. The guest speaker for the event will be Tammi Carr, co-Founder of The ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, formed in 2015 after the passing of her son, Chad, of Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). She spent more than a decade -- from 2002-2013 -- fundraising for Mott Children's Hospital, which opened the doors of their new children's hospital in 2011 and is among the nation's top children's hospitals.
